Coaches Report for the Famous Bassett Bees 2007/2008 Season
It is worth remembering that at the start of the season the Bees had been relegated to Division 2 and only won a place in Div 1 due to Westbury dropping out of the League.
We took the opportunity though, and ended up in the top half of the league with a creditable 3rd position. This was achieved by the Bees without the need to borrow players from the A Team.
We will loose a couple of players for next season but I believe that with the addition of some of the newer players we have started to develop we start in a good position to next season.
From a personal point of view it has been quite rewarding to coach the side and see the improvement through the year. Still lots to work on next season and hopefully a bit of fun pre-season at outdoor tournaments this summer.
On the downside some B Team members need to help out more on competition nights to assist with official duties for the A Team matches. I think the A’s have supported the B’s well this year and it should not be left to the same people to officiate all the time. GET INVOLVED!
Anyway I look forward to seeing the Bs continue to develop next season.
