We played in Division 1 this year which has turned out to be the most successful Bee’s Season of recent years; winning 11 out of 12 matches and coming 2nd in the division, (a greater number of sets against) and missing out on a play-off for promotion to the Premier Division.

This shows an improved performance on last season, despite suffering from lack of training with the loss of Lime Kiln S C (After the fire at Christmas). We managed to have a fairly settled squad, again supported by the ladies (despite additional SW commitments) and it was great to see improved consistency.

I believe that with the same pool of players available for the coming season that we will have the opportunity to further develop the players and hopefully expand the squad a little if we pick up some new players next season. This is essential for a shot at gaining promotion, being competitive against better opposition, and maintaining our place in that division once we get there.

Next season I am happy again to coach and play for the team, and would like to thank all the “Famous Bee’s” for the commitment shown throughout this last season and for making it fun and competitive.

Finally I would like to acknowledge the efforts of Richard over the past years (Now standing aside for a younger B Team co-ordinator) for making sure we had  a team on the day for each match. Thank you Richard.
