Hi All,

The Lime Kiln Centre is moving to a new policy where the staff will set up the posts and net for us. I went up to the centre yesterday to train a couple of the duty managers in the procedure and I am producing a written guide for them.

Inevitably it will take some time for this to bed in. Please be supportive over the next few weeks as the staff get more practise. It's quite likely that they will ask us how things should go the first few times they do it. If that happens please do not take over. They should be allowed to DO the job, even if we have to advise on where things go and what order they should be done.

The biggest single reason for this change is safety. It is wrong that members of the public (us) put up potentially dangerous equipment (that steel cable is under tremendous tension). Equally we want to play in a safe environment where the equipment is properly installed.

EVERYONE has a responsibility for safety, so we should guide and supervise until they are practised and experienced. Equally we should not pressure them when it's still the first or second time they have ever done it.

Cheers,
- Richard
