Good news, Germany is on!
The TUS St. Arnual Abt. Volleyball will organise a small turnament for us with max. 3 teams attending (due to space problems) in a small sports hall called 'Scharnhorst Halle' in Saarbruecken (The address is here - http://www.tbs-saarbruecken.de/hallen/scharnhorsthalle.htm). The date of the turnament is Sunday, 30th May.
As I have already started with looking into potential accommodation, I would now need the number of people who want to come with us on tour and how you long you would like to stay. So far I have
- for the accommodation -
Jenna, Richard & Pam, Mark, Phil + Family (4), Kathryn, Craig (10 in total)
- and VB players -
Jenna, Richard, Mark, Phil, Kathryn, Craig, Jorg (7 in total)
Who else wants to come with us and how long would you like to stay? Please let me know ASAP, we're going to have a terrific time, promised! :)
P.S. I will start a separate Email shortly to the current attendees to communicate all the necessary bits and bobs for the tour.
LOVE IT!
Jorg

Furthermore …
The people of the Saarland are best known for their hospitality. The food is excellent and historically a mix of German and French cuisine. Karlsberg, Bruch, Grosswald and Saarfuerst are local breweries, making very tasty, refreshing pils beer.
The Saarland is great for walking and water sports. There are also some very interesting places to see within a radius of 90km (60 miles) of Saarbruecken, like Strasbourg and Metz in France, Trier in der Eifel, Luxembourg, just to name a few.
Saarbruecken has a very nice, rather modern city centre with plenty of shops available for the modern shopper. There is also a beautiful baroque stile market place called St. Joanner Markt right in the heart of the centre, with lots of small boutiques, pubs and restaurants.
