The draw for the semi-finals of the Dave Kinder knock-out cup took place last night after the match between Olympiad and Druids. The draw was done by Paul Rainey from Olympiad and witnessed by John Postance from Druids.
The semi-finals are:
Wootton Bassett Aces v. Devizes 6X
Salisbury Druids v. Melksham
Please could the semi-final matches be played before the middle of March (but see below).
May I remind you that it is the responsibility of the home team to book the venue and officials for the match. The date of the fixtures should be mutually agreed by both teams. Once the date for a match has been set please inform me so I can keep up to date with progress. In the event of both teams not being able to mutually agree a date please inform me and I will attempt to resolve. When arranging fixtures please bear in mind that matches are the best of five sets and allow sufficient time to be able to play five sets.
I have started investigating when and where to hold the final. Please could the semi-finalist comment on their availability to play the final on the following Sunday evenings at Calne:
* 11 March
* 22 April
I am also looking at the possibility of playing at Trowbridge.
