 Summer Program Minimize

In summer we play outdoors on grass and on sand, just for fun (no serious training!).  For further information call Richard on 01793 731225.

We play outdoors on Tuesday evenings, starting 6.45pm during May and 7pm from June onwards.  By popular request, we're going to try alternating each week, once the aftermath of the Radio 1 Big Weekend is cleared.

Coate Water (sand) 5, 12, 26 May, and on...

Lydiard Park (grass) 19, 2 Jun, and on...

If demand is high enough (like the last few years), we'll switch to playing one or both venues every week.

Grass is at Lydiard Park events field (back entrance).  See us on the left as you drive in.  We play until the park closes.  The weather has to be very windy and/or wet to deter us, but if you're not sure please phone Phil (number on Contacts page - sorry that page is available to members only) after 5.30pm.  Whether it's wet or dry, we often retire afterwards to the pub!  Map to Lydiard Park - Click Here.

Sand is on the beach court at Coate Water.  Map to Coate Water - Click Here. How to find us at Coate Water - The Volleyball court is near the crazy golf.  Drive in until you get to the car park by the lake.  This is great guidance because you cannot see the lake from the car park!  Walk on keeping the main body of the lake to your left, kiddies paddling area to your right.  About 300 yds on you will see the sand court to your right.   Again the weather has to be pretty bad to cancel. If you're not sure phone (number on Contacts page - sorry that page is available to members only) after 5.30pm.

Historic Win for the Bees Minimize

Bassett Bees - First Ever Win in Premier League

31st November 2008 - Bassett Bees score their first ever victory in the Premier Division of the Wiltshire Leagues.  A brilliant result.  We have won the odd set or two this season, and maybe even lost a couple we should have won.  The team has stayed well focussed, despite the defeats and by playing as a team finally got a great result.

24 - Kathryn, 33 - Andy, 3 - John, 26 - Luisa, Black - Cinzia, 10 - Irwin, 16 - Bing, 25 - Mariana.

Sadly this is Mariana's last match for the Bees.  We're going to miss you; but what a note to go out on!
